Generally, you should revisit your estate plan every 3-5 years or on the onset of a significant life changing event like marriage, the birth or adoption of a child, divorce, death of a family member, or a move to another state.
When reviewing your estate plan, it may very well be that there is no need to revise or change anything, or it may require simply updating beneficiaries of your assets. But it is important to have this review because even if you don’t feel that your situation changed, it is possible that laws may have changed that could affect your plan.
